Nayeem Syed is Chair of Governors at Ark Putney Academy in south-west London. Nayeem is a US and UK qualified lawyer with an MBA from London Business School. He has over 20 years’ experience in various industries including technology, telecoms, internet and media. He has served as a Finance Link Governor previously at another Ark school. 

Siân Maddrell is the Regional Director for our secondary schools in South London and Hastings. Siân is a successful school leader with more than 25 years’ experience. Previously, she was Headteacher of The Grey Coat Hospital for eight years.

Alison Downey became principal of Ark Putney Academy in September 2013. Prior to that she was Vice Principal of Ark's Burlington Danes Academy in West London, one of the country’s most successful academies with GCSE results ranking in the top 20% of all similar schools.
