Ark Isaac Newton Academy (INA) has been awarded £27,000 by The Wolfson Foundation towards a new science laboratory.
The all-through school in Ilford was rated outstanding in all areas by Ofsted in 2018. Since then, the academy noted an increased demand from its students for science courses at both Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5.

Professional Pathways Programme

Students from across the Ark network were taught how to make their job application stand out during a Professional Pathways Programme conference.
On December 13, more than 40 volunteers from Bain paired up with students from Year 13 and 11 to teach them how to shine during an interview. 

Throughout the day, students had the opportunity to practice the skills they learned in their work readiness lessons at school.

Ark Dickens

Ark Dickens Primary Academy is celebrating its Ofsted report, which rated the school as “good” and praised it for a remarkable turnaround.
Inspectors said the quality of the school has been “improving rapidly” since the appointment of the new principal, Fiona Chapman.
The report praised the school’s quality of education and the overall demeanour of students, saying “pupils are positive about their school. They enjoy learning and told inspectors that the school has greatly improved since the new principal arrived.

Ark Blake Academy

Ark Blake Academy has celebrated laying turf on the rooftop sports pitch of the new school building in Addiscombe, Croydon.
The topping-off moment marks a major milestone in the construction of the new, purpose-built school facilities, on schedule to be completed in April 2020.
Ark Blake, a non-selective secondary school will open in September 2020 with 180 places for its founding cohort of year 7 students. 300 applications from local families have been made and Croydon Council will send confirmations for places in March

Earlier this week, Ark hosted an Apprenticeship Expo, at Google Academy London, bringing together 140 students from across our network, to meet and learn from prospective employers.

Ark Elvin Academy is today celebrating its Ofsted report, which rated the school as “good.”
The report praised the school’s leadership and management, which it rated as outstanding. “The headteacher and leaders have very high expectations,” says the report. “Their vision for the school is shared by everyone involved. Staff want all pupils to succeed in every area of their lives, not just academically.”

More than 1600 teachers and educators from Ark schools came together on Friday (4 October) for an afternoon of reflection, learning and collaboration as part of the Ark 2019 Teacher Summit, held at Central Hall Westminster. 

Friday 13th September 2019

Students from Ark Oval Primary Academy in Croydon took part in a first aid event sponsored by the British Red Cross. The students are taking part in a pilot programme, taking first aid lessons which will become a compulsory part of the school curriculum next year. They were invited to show what they have learned in Victoria Tower Park, across from the Houses of Parliament.

Congratulations to all our students on their exam results this summer. Thanks to their hard work, results across the network are up in primary, secondary and sixth form.
Primary
Network-wide, Ark pupils are up 3pp, with 72% achieving the expected standards in reading, writing and maths - a strong 7pp above national average.
We were particularly pleased with results at our two primaries in Portsmouth, with 80% at Ark Ayrton achieving the standard, up 36pp on last year, and 65% at Dickens, up 25pp on last year.
