Ark John Keats and Spencer Steadman Trust

Ark John Keats Academy is delighted to celebrate the formal opening of its new school library.
A year of hard work from all involved has seen the creation of a new library space which puts reading at the heart of being an Ark John Keats pupil. Supported by a generous donation from the Spencer Steadman Trust, the students can now access more than a thousand new books and enjoy a warm and welcoming space to read and study.

Burlington Danes students celebrating Good rating

The school was praised for having teachers who 'seek to know pupils teachers seek to know and understand every pupil, and pupils have adults who are always there to help them."

INA GCSE results

Ark's schools will be a hive of activity as Year 11s collect their GCSE results today.
This is the first year students sat GCSE exams since the coronavirus pandemic started.
Ark's Director of Secondary, Jerry Collins, said: 
"I must pay tribute to how hard our students and staff prepared for the examinations and how well they have managed over the last few years.

This year's A level and BTEC exam-takers have faced unprecedented difficulties due to the pandemic, but their results today leave the Ark network proud.  
Hundreds of Ark students will take up university places or high-quality apprenticeships after achieving fantastic A level and BTEC results. 
We are also delighted that 54 students will be awarded bursaries worth more than £760,000, helping them embrace their university experience. We are grateful to our private donors and bursary supporters, including:

This summer, four teachers from two Ark schools will travel to Kenya and Zambia as part of a Fellowship Programme led by Global Schools Forum (GSF), a former Ark Venture turned independent charity.
The Fellowship Programme aims to foster peer learning and knowledge-sharing between Ark staff and GSFʼs member organisations.

Spencer Steadman

Ark is delighted to announce a new partnership with The Spencer Steadman Trust, which will help support hundreds of students.
The funding is worth more than £90,000 and will see libraries at Ark John Keats Academy in Enfield, and Ark Ayrton Academy in Portsmouth undergo transformational refurbishment.
 

ATT graduation 2022

More than 130 new graduates who have completed their Ark Teacher Training programme were honoured at a prestigious ceremony at Ark All Saints Academy on Friday 8 July.
The teacher training programme, which was rated Outstanding by Ofsted this year, trained 135 graduates across the year in Ark and partner schools.

Ark Music Gala 2022

More than 600 students from 33 Ark schools came together for a celebration of music at the famous Barbican Centre on Monday 27 June.
The tenth Ark Music Gala had a packed audience of nearly 1300 guests, including teachers, support staff, families and donors, who were treated to impressive performances by children of all ages and musical abilities.
The theme 'A Night of Hope and Celebration' recognised the current climate and situations we have been living through the past few years.

Teach Portsmouth awards

Teachers and support staff from Ark’s Portsmouth schools were praised for their exceptional work at the Teach Portsmouth Awards.
The Unsung Hero trophy went to ‘master of all trades’ cleaner Stacey Patrick from Ark Dickens Primary Academy. Over the past 18 months, Stacey has been a cook, one-to-one support assistant, a playground buddy, and an extra staff member for trips – all of which are outside her role as a school cleaner.
