Ark had cause to celebrate in the fifth annual EducationInvestor awards this year, winning ‘best school operator – academy chain’ in a gala ceremony held in London. The academy network beat competition from other major academy groups including Ormiston to win the prestigious trophy.
The EducationInvestor Awards celebrate innovation and excellence among businesses and other organisations involved in the education sector. More than 700 guests attended this year’s ceremony, which was presented by comedian Tony Hawks. Awards were presented in 27 categories, with the shortlist judged by a panel of 17 experts drawn from across the education sector.
Ark’s Mathematics Mastery programme, based on international best practice including from Singapore, was also shortlisted in the category of education content provider. Deputy Director of Communications Alex Bigham and Head of Schools Marketing Aaron Hussey collected the prize on behalf of Ark.
Alex said, “It’s a real honour to be given this recognition for all the hard work that happens in our schools.”
