The Government has closed all schools to help stop the spread of Coronavirus.  Therefore, all of Ark’s 37 schools will remain closed until further notice - other than for children of key workers and vulnerable students who are attending our Community Classrooms.

Further information on the Government guidance on school closures can be found here.

Our priority is to maintain as much stability for students’ education as possible. Whilst it is not possible to fully replicate the educational experience at home, we are putting in place plans so students can still access work and teachers are able to support their learning. Schools have organised provision for students who receive Free School Meals.

This is an unsettling and disruptive time for everyone.  The team of dedicated professionals across the Ark network - Principals, teachers and school staff as well as the Central Ark team – are working together to ensure we do as much as we can to help our students and school communities through these challenging times.

Ark's teachers have their say

Everyone has had at least one teacher in their life that inspired them. But what inspires teachers?

What sparked their interest in teaching?

How do they get through the difficult days? And how do they work to get better? We spoke to dozens of teachers from across Ark’s schools in Birmingham, Hastings, London and Portsmouth. Although they come from very different backgrounds, we found, when it comes to life in their classrooms – teachers all have a lot in common.

About us
