On Thursday 15 August 2019, students across the Ark network celebrated as they received their Key Stage 5 results. 
We spoke to some of our hard-working students in Birmingham, Hastings and London to find out how they felt, and to ask them about their future plans:

Ark Globe Academy

Today, students and staff at Ark Globe Academy, together with employees from communications agency Brands2Life, unveiled “Globe Wings”, a giant wall illustration outside the school.

Ark William Parker Academy
Tuesday 16th July 2019

Students from Ark William Parker Academy were joined by guests and local dignitaries to mark their school’s quatercentenary at a special event held last week at the school.
The 400th anniversary event included a screening of the alumni film made by current students, offering a glimpse into the school’s rich history as those interviewed recounted their time at William Parker and shared memorable stories.

Thursday 4th July 2019

Ark today announced the launch of a new primary curriculum for its network of 38 schools.  
“Every element of this primary curriculum was created and curated by Ark and our schools,” said Matt Butler, Ark’s Interim Head of Ark Curriculum Partnerships. “This is part of our growing family of curriculums, which includes Mathematics Mastery and English Mastery, which are already being used by hundreds of schools outside the network.”

Ark Bolingbroke Academy

Bolingbroke Academy Theatre Company, made up of Ark Bolingbroke sixth form students, performed at the prestigious National Theatre last night (Wednesday 26 June) to a packed audience of 400 theatre go-ers.
 
Bolingbroke Academy Theatre Company performed 'Stuff', the new play by Hull-based playwright Tom Wells as part of Connections, the National Theatre's annual nationwide youth theatre festival. 

Ark Project Healthcare
Thursday 6th June 2019

On Wednesday 5 June, students and their families from across the Ark network came together for the launch of Project Healthcare.
The programme aims to support sixth form students who are considering a career in healthcare to select the right course, secure quality volunteering, succeed in admissions tests/interviews, and get the grades they need to progress.
Students were joined by Ark alumni, healthcare apprentices and representatives from the NHS to hear about their experiences and learn more about the routes into medicine and healthcare.

Friday 24th May 2019

Hammersmith & Fulham Council has approved a proposal for a major new education and charity hub – paving the way for a scheme that will benefit thousands of children and young people for years to come in the White City area.
The EdCity development was brought forward by the education charity Ark and by Hammersmith & Fulham Council. When complete, it will provide shared office space for mission-aligned charities, as well as a primary school, a nursery, new youth facilities, an adult education centre and new affordable homes.

Ark Victoria Academy
Friday 17th May 2019

Students and staff at Ark Victoria are celebrating the school's recent rating of good by Ofsted. Inspectors were impressed by the progress the school has made since joining the network, commenting, "Leaders have managed the enormous change in the school’s structure very well. They have put in place strong systems that enable the school to function as one coherent unit despite the complexities of its size and physical layout." They also stated that "Children achieve well in the early years.

Wednesday 8th May 2019

Siân Maddrell will be joining Ark as the organisation’s new Secondary Regional Director for South London.
Siân is a successful school leader with more than 25 years’ experience. She is currently Headteacher of The Grey Coat Hospital, a post she has held for the last eight years. She is also Chair of the Westminster Heads Forum. She joins Ark in January.
