Embracing the change in assessment: teaching a no-coursework curriculum

#ArkETC

This summer will see the biggest changes to assessment in almost 20 years as students begin to take GCSEs without coursework or exam modules. The changes present new challenges for teachers – as well as exciting opportunities to explore topics in-depth and for creative and innovative teaching.

Join teaching experts at Ark’s free training session. We will discuss:

  • How teachers can best prepare their students for their final exams, and ensure that they recall and master years of material on the day to get the grades they deserve.
  • The best methods to embed lessons to stay with a student throughout their life – not just until the day of the exam.
  • The changes in GCSE assessment so that you get the tools to develop best practice methods.

Keynote speakers who have already adjusted to the changes will be on hand to answer your questions and share their success through interactive workshops.

When: Saturday 7 May, 10:30am – 3:30pm
Where: Ark St Alban’s Academy, Birmingham, finalist for the TES Secondary School of the Year
Cost: FREE (lunch included)

Click here to register your place. Due to the nature of the event places are strictly limited.

The workshops are open to teachers from across the UK and there will be a chance for you to network with peers over lunch.
