Ark welcomes Paddington Green Primary Academy

Thursday 1st September 2016

Today we are welcoming a new school to our network. Ark Paddington Green Primary Academy in west London has opened its doors to local children aged 4-11. The school is situated between Edgware Road, Paddington railway station and picturesque Little Venice. The school building has great facilities for young children, including a woodland play area.

We hosted a roadshow with staff at Paddington Green, at which Chief Executive, Lucy Heller and Director of Primary, Venessa Wilms introduced Ark and our family of schools in West London. Staff were able to find out more about what it means to be part of the Ark network. Executive Principal Max Haimendorf said: “This is exciting news, we’re delighted to be welcoming a new school to the Ark network. I’m looking forward to working with parents, pupils and staff at the school.”

Paddington Green Primary has an agreement with Paddington Bear Limited, and is the only school in the country to feature the famous bear on its logo. Before joining the Ark network, the school was known as Paddington Green Primary School. In January 2016, pupils were visited by Paddington Bear author and local resident Michael Bond.

There are 35 schools in the Ark network, with hubs in London, Hastings, Birmingham and Portsmouth.
