Newly Qualified Teacher programme
Research shows that the first few years of your teaching career are the most crucial. That’s why we provide Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs) with a highly supportive, tailored programme that runs alongside your teaching role, dedicating extra time to your development.
The NQT programme features a welcome week, ongoing coaching and co-planning, local workshops and three conferences a year.
Our ‘Good to Great’ training programme is a year-long development scheme for classroom teachers who are graded as ‘good’. Through training, feedback and practice, you’ll be trained in all areas of teaching – from managing behaviour to planning outstanding lessons.
There’s also our Lead Practitioner programme for teachers who want to use their expertise to train others, while still spending most of their time in the classroom. This is a one-year programme that trains you to train others, and is the perfect step up to middle leadership.
As a middle leader, we will provide you with a range of training to make sure you are both a great teacher and a great leader.
You can join our Lead Practitioner programme, coach others through our Instructional Leadership model, take part in our National Professional Qualification for Middle Leaders (NPQML) or Teaching Leaders programme, and even have the opportunity to become an Ark fellow – a chance to work for two weeks in one of our international schools.
