On 1 May, pupils, parents and staff were welcomed to their brand new school building at ARK Brunel Primary Academy on Middle Row, north Kensington.

The demolition of ARK Putney Academy’s gyms began over Easter, as part of a £30 million project to refurbish the whole school building.

Sixth form students at ARK's Walworth Academy were at the forefront of international diplomacy last month, with a visit from the US Ambassador to the UK, Matthew Barzun.
The Ambassador visited the school to find out what the students of Walworth think of the US and to discuss the issues that were important to them.

HRH Princess Beatrice visited two ARK schools in South London last week to talk to pupils and teachers about their work supporting children with dyslexia.
Princess Beatrice told a group of dyslexic pupils: 'Dyslexia is not a pigeonhole to say you can’t do anything. It is an opportunity and a possibility to learn differently. You have magical brains, they just process differently. Don’t feel like you should be held back by it.'

Four entrepreneurial students from Burlington Danes Academy have been putting their business credentials to the test in recent weeks, taking part in the Premier League Enterprise Challenge.
The BDA Enterprise team, consisting of year 10s Adam Woodward, Redwan Abdi, Bashir Hassan and Ali Chaudhry, first made a name for themselves at QPR’s Loftus Road in February.

Whilst most of us will be enjoying some time off and chocolate over the Easter break, Lydia Powell, a year 13 student at Parkwood 6th Form in Hastings, will be representing England at the World Junior Badminton Championships in Malaysia.
Lydia, and her other England team mates, are hoping for success in both the Suhandinata Team Cup and the individual Eye Level Cups. Lydia is hoping to play in the girls’ singles and mixed doubles for the team event, and the girls’ singles and doubles in the individual events.

Today families find out which primary school their child has been allocated – and ARK Schools across the country have once again been shown to be a popular choice with parents.
In total, ARK Schools has had 2,739 applications for places at our 16 primary schools. This means that, across the network, there are nearly 3 applicants for every school place, including all choices.
There are some schools that are particularly popular with parents, and have enjoyed great success as ARK schools.

There has been a real buzz across ARK academies over the last fortnight as pupils from across the network proved their spelling prowess at the annual ARK Schools Spelling Bee Championships 2014.

On Thursday 27th March students from ARK Kings Academy made their own news when they took part in the national BBC News School Report project.
Working together as one team, 13 students from across Years 7 to 11 took part in a busy day that had them researching, writing, recording and broadcasting a series of news stories. The stories reflected their interests and concerns about their school, community and global issues.

Six talented students from ARK’s Evelyn Grace Academy in Brixton have had their photographic and poetry talent displayed to the public on three billboards in their local community in Electric Lane, just off the famous Electric Avenue.
To celebrate World Poetry Day on 21 March and the fruition of a term’s challenging literature project, many more Evelyn Grace students had their work displayed at an exhibition and reception held at their school.
