From early years and curriculum design, to teacher training and development, our ventures address issues facing our schools and communities, as well as the wider education sector.

Our ventures
Ark has a long history of incubating, developing and supporting new initiatives that address some of the most intractable issues in education and society. Over our 20 year history we have incubated more than 20 new organisations supporting heath, social care, child protection and education activities.
Building new organisations and initiatives means we can take the frontline expertise we gain from running our schools and share those lessons with the wider system.
Transformative learning and development programmes for educators, leaders, operations and support staff working in Ark schools and throughout the school system
A unique not-for-profit partnership between Ark and Hammersmith & Fulham Council. This £150m investment grew out of Ark’s history in the area and will shape our future. West London was the site of the first Ark school. Now 1EdCity will become a home for Ark as well as a hub for the education sector.
Our legacy work
While our current work is focused on our network of schools and programmes, we have a long history of incubating ventures that have sought to address education, health and child protection challenges around the world.
In September 2023, the latest spin out from Ark – Purposeful Ventures – was launched. It is now a specialist ventures organisation focusing on education and issues affecting children and young people more broadly.
Ark continues to work closely with Purposeful Ventures, including sharing office space in our new home at EdCity.
