Middle leaders

We know that as a middle leader, not only do you have an impact in the classroom every day, but your leadership creates outstanding departments, inspires others and transforms learning environments. That’s why we’re committed to developing and supporting you to be both a great teacher and a great leader to have the greatest impact on the young people in our schools.
Daniel O’Hana-James, Assistant Principal at Ark Charter Academy in Portsmouth

As a Middle Leader at Ark, you can expect a rich blend of professional development and long-term support. This includes high-quality mentoring from experienced leaders, collaborative network days that connect you with peers across our schools, and structured opportunities to work with and learn directly from our Network Leads.

You will also have access to nationally accredited training programmes, leadership pathways designed to accelerate your progression, and personalised career development tailored to your strengths, ambitions, and the impact you want to make. Taken together, this creates an environment where you are continually challenged, supported, and equipped to thrive as a leader across the Ark network.

It was great to have the opportunity to learn something and then start looking at our own data straight away while it was fresh. One of the best things about working for Ark is the professional development.
