Across the Ark network, GCSE results have improved in key measures. Provisional data shows that 47 percent of all students achieved a 9-5 in both English and Maths – a three percentage point increase on 2023.

Jerry Collins, Director of Secondary, said: “We’ve seen improvement across the network, and some outstanding individual results. This reflects our students’ hard work and dedication, as well as the excellent support they have received from staff. We are excited to see our Year 11s progress to the next level of their education and wish them well.”

There are many stories of exceptional individual achievement across our schools – from overcoming adversity, to achieving a raft of high grades in all subjects.

My maths teacher really pushed me through offering loads of amazing interventions – I went from a 5 to a 7 in a year. My long-term aspiration is to work in scientific research, and I have chosen to studying biology, psychology and geography at Ark Putney sixth form – I can’t wait.”

I could not have done this without the school, who has taught me a lot about self-discipline and how to revise. Nathanael

Ark Globe

Five grade 9s, four grade 8s, one grade 7 and one grade 6

“These are the best results I have seen at my time at Globe. I remember the moment I was in my exam, feeling nervous. I wanted to escape, but I realised that nothing I could do would get me out, so I calmed myself down. No matter how tired or nervous you are, always think about how that moment will help you in your future. If that doesn’t feel like enough, think abut all the people around you who want to see you succeed. For me, it has been my mum who has always been there to support me. I think about what she had to do it get to this country and how much she might have suffered to give me a life she never had. So, it doesn’t matter how many sleepless nights you have to endure, just remember your hard work today will bring joy to you and the people around you.”
