Students tell us about their lockdowns

Monday 7th June 2021

Supporting the wellbeing of students is at the heart of Ark’s recovery plans. Here, one of our students, explains how lockdowns have affected her mental health.

Throughout the pandemic and beyond, Ark Schools are prioritising student wellbeing.

We have trained teachers, year heads, pastoral leads and teaching assistants to increase understanding of our students’ needs so they can spot those who need help and provide access to specialist support when necessary.

Much of our programme of support has been made possible by the generosity of those who have given to Ark, and includes support from the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport through their Community Match Challenge funding programme.

As the impact of the disruption from the pandemic continues, there is more we need to do. If you are able to, please consider supporting our Covid-19 response work to allow us to continue meeting the changing needs of our students and schools.
