Our people

Ark’s broad and committed team of nearly 3,000 staff includes teachers, education and school operation experts, governors and trustees, teaching assistants, early years carers and many more.

The Ark team works across the country. Most staff are based in schools in Birmingham, Hastings, London and Portsmouth. Our head office in West London is home to the central team and ventures. Our executive team oversees the work of the schools’ network as well as the wider charity, ensuring all work stays focused on Ark’s central mission to make sure that all children, regardless of their background, have access to a great education and real choices in life.

Regional Directors

Our Regional Directors provide a critical link to ensure schools can work effectively as hubs and share resources and expertise across the network.

Board of Trustees (Ark Schools)

The Ark Schools Board oversees the activities of our Trust, holding the team to account. They are supported by local governing bodies at each school.

Board of Trustees (Ark Charity)

The Ark trustees oversee the central Ark charity. It leads on our work to incubate, launch and scale ventures that share our mission and values.
