VIDEO: Ark students take part in the Summer Sounds Music Festival

On 23 June 2018, over 650 Ark students came together to perform in the first ever Ark Music Festival, Summer Sounds.

Students performed in front of family, friends and members of the local community at Ark Swift Primary Academy in West London.

Performances included a 'Ukelele Hootenanny', African dance and drumming, a Boys Vocal Collective pop-up performance and a string orchestra.

Students worked alongside a team of top musicians from all corners of the music industry, encompassing international world music superstars, West End hit show performers, top choral conductors, singer-songwriters and gospel musicians, as well the Ark alumni community.

The day ended with a carnival parade led by performance group, Kinetika Bloco.

The aim of the day was to give Ark students the chance to collaborate with like-minded musicians from other schools, take their learning beyond the classroom, and share the results of their hard work with friends, teachers, family and peers.
